Reducing Productivity Part 2

This is going to be a continuation on my last post on corporations reducing productivity in society.  Apparently, Comcast's COO thinks consumers are being problematic and that the solution is to change consumer behavior.  This is the equivalent of someone attempting to sell air in a can (not the dust cleaning kind) and complain that no one is buying it.   A corporation's sole purpose is to generate revenue by serving consumers.  If a corporation does not provide what consumers want and are willing to pay for, then it belongs in bankruptcy court.  Corporations competing for consumer dollars is why capitalism works and is how we have the high standard of living that we do.  Anything else is unacceptable and consumers should stop it in the best way they can: by denying these companies their revenue stream. 

Of course I say that as I type on a Comcast connection.  Unfortunately monopolies throw a wrench into the gears.   [more]
