Weyerhauser is a value. It currently costs $22.50 almost half of its $40 stock price just a year ago. Buying WY at that price have a high likelihood of producing a 62.4% cash return in a year when one adds a 2.6% dividend to the average $13.61/share… More

They're screwed by tanking housing market and tax burdened forest assests.

Lets me see-- 60 to 16 -- and the company was not even on fire. This is a no brainer to buy on the cheap and wait for the need for forest products to turn around. Please look at at a one year chart,as I see it at 25 very soon.

Huge pension liabilities are a drag. Also, as the paperless office is always being promised, will we finally get there with the iPad? Will yet another industry succumb to the evil Cupertino fruit empire? Of course all those foreclosures that they're now trying to get on paper could create huge demand for these guys so this is a tough call. Just for CAPS, not for real money.
