Revenues are more skewed towards upstream commercial business that continues to identify opportunities that enhance the flexibility of its systems. TEPPCO benefited greatly from increased propane demand due to colder winter weather in the northeast market areas with overall LPG deliveries increasing 30%. Moreover it seeks to benefit from the Pinedale field once the restrictions of the winter season are removed due to environmental concerns. TPP and Enterprise Products have entered into a joint venture where they would be partners in Jonah Gas Gathering Company and intend to continue the Phase V expansion, which is expected to increase the system capacity from 1.5 billion cubic feet to 2.3 billion cubic feet. This facilitates with one of the most diversified cash flow streams of any publicly traded energy partnership and its long-term growth prospects have been further enhanced.

The partnership currently anticipates that total capital expenditures for 2007 will be approximately $290 million, which includes about $250 million for organic growth projects and system upgrades and $40 million for maintenance capital In line with the mandate by Federal Trade Commission sale of ownership interest in Mont Belvieu Storage Partners resulted in profits of approximately $59.8 million and whose proceed will be used to partially fund the 2007 portion of the Jonah Phase V expansion and other recently announced organic growth projects.

Traditionally TEPPCO’s growth has been more of acquisitions rather than organic factor contribution. As a result of this long term debt has increased over the years and the total debt to capitalization ratio hovers around 50%. Liquidity problem still rest owing to the low amount of cash it carries on the balance sheet. Though steered by an excellent top management TEPPCO remains vulnerable market risk caused by crude prices, interest rate and other environmental concerns. The stock has had a good run in the markets recently and the tide seems to be turning against the company.
