***

The Company's business is the development, marketing, and operation of getaway and destination timeshare resorts.

Your time frame - A guideline for other members to see whether your thinking is short or long-term. Time frame is also used to calculate the stock rating, but is not used in the scoring of your pick.

Your pitch - Here's your chance to offer more detailed thoughts, analysis, concerns, or the rationale behind your call. The pitch is optional and may be added later.

I think a lot of people give this company a thumbs up on caps without knowing much about it. Silverleaf is notorious for its high pressure/almost scam-like tactics that are at the very least questionable and quite possibly illegal.

I originally bought into this position at a little over $3 a share,

just before the earnings news that drove it down to 2.

On the way down I did do some averaging, but decided to hold

for the intermediate term (a few weeks to months) because I

felt the over-reaction to the news given at that time was way

overblown. As the events of the previous week testify, I am now

in the green with SVLF and will continue to hold as long as it

continues to perform well. I omitted a stop-loss the first time

around but won't do that again. I think this is a solid bullish

stock now and it should perform well in up, down and sideways

market days. Only time will tell if I'm right. Good luck to all longs.

Had some real nail-biting around $2 a share but was confident

that was the bottom.

I put the time frame as a year or so because after that time

I would be better able to evaluate it in terms of longer-term

performance. Of course hope springs eternal but when all

is said and done, they have to have the numbers you can live

with.

Timeshare company that continues to produce despite a "sluggish" economy. Strong financials, solid growth, solid future. This is a double from $3 within the next 2 years. I would have liked to have put my pick in at $2, but the cap was too low. Oh well.

Full disclosure: I own SVLF

Hah, the market was overreacting once again . It seems like people are more and more jumpy nowadays. All the sales and revenues earnings look REALLY good for 2007. The current P/E ratio, estimated EPS looks even better. They just anounced that they would SLOW DOWN expansion; and everybody got panic and ran for their lives. They don't want to FINANCE their growth with debts people. I think this CAUTIOUS step should be appreciated with all the fluctuations, and stupid rates cut nowadays.

No matter what, unless this company is going bankrupt in the next 3 months, $2.37 a stock is A STEAL . I'm going to buy this for my real porfolio . Thanks all for making this so cheap !!!

I think a lot of people give this company a thumbs up on caps without knowing much about it. Silverleaf is notorious for its high pressure/almost scam-like tactics that are at the very least questionable and quite possibly illegal.

They send out postcards randomly to people telling them they've won a prize. To claim the prize, they need to take a 90 minute tour. After the tour, they end up winning a Vegas or Orlando vacation that is almost impossible to redeem based on what I've read.

Do a search for "Silverleaf resorts" or "awards verification center" (the name they use for the direct mailing spam). Many, many complaints. Granted, their target market right now probably doesn't use the Internet much, and a fool is born every day, but my guess is that as more and more people search the Internet about them before buying, fewer and fewer will. It's much easier to scam people pre-Google.

This is very much a 5+ year pick. I can't see their marketing tactics working in 5 years, when I expect people will be doing a Google search about any major thing they buy on their pda. I'm sure they use these marketing tactics for a reason, and without them, we have to expect they'll make far less profits.
