With the contracts in place with Walgreens and the support from the pharmaceutical industry leaders, the Sharps needle collection and disposal program looks like a strong winner. It's taken a long time for this concept to be realized and accepted. I think that by the end of 2011 the positive results will be clear and indisputable.

CVS, a larger and more established company, i.e. more resources, just announced the same product that is the backbone of SMED. I expect SMED shares to continue to fall as CVS will most likely capture most of SMED's customers with a cheaper product.
