K12 (LRN)

CAPS Rating:
**

Rating a stock in CAPS consists of three components:

Your call - Will this stock outperform or underperform the S&P 500? Successful picks are measured in terms of whether or not you were correct and by how many percentage points.

Your time frame - A guideline for other members to see whether your thinking is short or long-term. Time frame is also used to calculate the stock rating, but is not used in the scoring of your pick.

Your pitch - Here's your chance to offer more detailed thoughts, analysis, concerns, or the rationale behind your call. The pitch is optional and may be added later.

Each time you rate a stock, CAPS updates the community intelligence for the company, which may or may not change its CAPS rating. For more information, visit the Help tab at the top of the page.

How could you go wrong with a stock that deals with our children’s futures? With their revenues increasing each quarter and such a strong backing, this company has the complete package to take over the market. The one thing they need to fix first is finding a decent tax accountant. You have to bu...More

Upthumb. Good cash flow. Low debt. High growth rate. But controversial practices.

LRN is No. 1:
She is the only dog in the race right now and she is moving fast.

LRN has a sustainable advantage if they continue to outpace themselves with the material that they produce, and State governments that they bring on board as customers.

LRN has so much of a momentum that even our very own experienced fools here say its over-priced. OMG. Read the book again, boys! Read it again for the FIRST time.

The management is second to none in the educational products industry. Just look at the dream team line up of heavy hitters. I would like to see them pitch in an investment for a high end accountant. Then they would be perfect!

I am a consumer of the LRN product and I couldn't run fast enough. If I had it to do all over again, I would break my neck to get here faster. Why? The price is right! The LRN product is paid for (get this) the state. All I have to do is sign for the UPS packages that come to my door. Nice. Gotta love that business model.

Beat this Stock

Clicking "Beat this Stock!" will bring you to a company with a higher rating than the one you're currently viewing.

Even though CAPS shows only one- to five-star rankings, behind the scenes, all companies in CAPS have a distinct numerical ranking. In other words, there is a No. 1 stock in CAPS and a worst-ranked stock in CAPS. When you arrive at the top-ranked stock, clicking "Beat this Stock!" will cause the page to refresh.

That is, until there is a new No. 1 stock!
