Below expectation from Q4 and Q1 % Q2 of 2008 will be unpleasant sale market. Will be bearish for next 6 months. Also there will be a sell off from last year's positions purchased early summer. i sold my positions to get a 55% gain. What matters end… More

grossly undervalued due to negative forecast of TV sales. Upside is they make screens for iPad LCD panel.

Great TVs, and a wealth of other products. If they can get a good deal with Universal Display and drive costs down lower, they may be in position to grow.

I'm not super excited about this company, but something's telling me LG is going to do well. Revenue has been consistently growing at a solid rate (although earnings have not). They are vastly more efficient than the rest of the industry in most ways (although the margins are lagging behind). They've been investing a great deal in expansion of facilities (although that could be a bad idea if demand continues to fall). Honestly, though, I think LG is ready to move. Right now it seems to be trading low on expectations that earnings will completely reverse the 15% growth from last year and go negative. Why? What horrible thing has happened? I don't think it's the earthquake because they're based in Korea. Could demand for flat-panels really have dropped that much? Sure, I can see TV sales troubles (like they said), but across the board? Remember, this is the second largest (and in a tight race with Samsung for largest: they combine to produce 50% of all flat-panels) producer of flat-panels in the world. I'm not seeing a coming catastrophe.

(And from the looks of it, investors are starting to realize this too. Hopefully I didn't get in too late on the upswing...)
