LGF is great for the long term, but their weak Spring means their earnings aren't going to light up the sky until at least the January quarter, when they'll be able to book the money from an expected Saw III Halloween hit.

Well, duh. Stock belongs over $10. Trading at $5. Once the dust settles w/ big holders' loading up portfolios on the cheap, should take off fast.

Misunderstood, underappreciated diversified media company. Growing rapidly, succeeding across multiple venues, and yet still trading priced as though its success were at all dependent on the success/failure of the Saw franchise. Major turnaround in cost control in recent quarters, while maintaining high level of investment in expansion & growth. About to break out with a vengeance. Also, possible acquisition target.

LGF has some real potential, and their issues are often pointed towards the management, so perhaps this can be fixed.

LGF realeases a lot of interesting movies that usually are targeted at specific groups, and specific genres. It's easy to see that they have success with a lot of these films, and hopefully at some point they get their game together. I think as they go along on a successful path they will realize they really need to step their game up.

I want to love this company and there is so much potential. However, they just don't seem to be able to get over the hump. Maybe it's their lack of risk and their satisfaction with providing product that most of the time seems to only have middle-of-the-road upside. It appears that Lionsgate will be staying on the sidelines, cineplex-wise, this summer, so maybe the ongoing Saw franchise and Tyler Perry movie slated for this fall will be a boon. I realize the DVD business can be a money-maker, that LGF has over 12,000 tiitles in its library, and a nice distribution network, but with Icahn throwing darts at management and a wider than expected loss for fiscal fourth quarter, I am going to have to wait and see some momentum before jumping in.
