L.B. Foster Company (FSTR)

CAPS Rating:
*****

The Company is a manufacturer, fabricator and distributor of products and services for the rail, construction, energy and utility markets.

Rating a stock in CAPS consists of three components:

Your call - Will this stock outperform or underperform the S&P 500? Successful picks are measured in terms of whether or not you were correct and by how many percentage points.

Your time frame - A guideline for other members to see whether your thinking is short or long-term. Time frame is also used to calculate the stock rating, but is not used in the scoring of your pick.

Your pitch - Here's your chance to offer more detailed thoughts, analysis, concerns, or the rationale behind your call. The pitch is optional and may be added later.

Each time you rate a stock, CAPS updates the community intelligence for the company, which may or may not change its CAPS rating. For more information, visit the Help tab at the top of the page.

Lots of cash, should benefit from increased infrastructure spending.

FSTR supplies a lot of the products that will be needed for Osama's rebuild of the nations infrastructure, such as bridge piling and decking, cement railroad replacement ties, seamless rails and the products to secure them. They also do fabracated highway products. Another section is tubular products to help rebuild the water delivery systems inplace in the large cites that are old and crumbling. By doing it inplace means, a lot lease disruption to the streets above, whichis what the large city mayors want. They also own a small rail line to the wyoming coal country, the clean burning stuff that Osama wants in the plants that still use coal.

A company tied primarily to infrastructure with plenty of room to grow. Should see some solid gains in the coming years.

That is, until there is a new No. 1 stock!
