A lot of money has gone into detroit in the past couple years and is one of the main focus' of how the economy is doing, people care about that sector

Ford still sets the example and everyone follows. Well mabybe they did take a design from the jag but not the technology
for the 2013 fusion. I own the car of the year 2010 fusion which now has over 45,000 miles and same tires, had the rear breaks put on early. Was told I had about 5,000 miles left but went ahead and had them changed. Its the only thing done other than fluid changes. Weird I thought the front brakes should go first on a front wheel drive car. My 1995 f-350 7.3 diesel and 2005 expedition 114,000 miles also no problems. 2005 has 5.4 V-8 and I can get 17mpg country driving. It does better than the smaller 4x4's like jeep or toyota so thats why I went big and ended up with ford again. Not a ford nut
either, it just all worked out that way. Hope I don't sell the 2010 and get the 2013 fusion. It sure will be popular at 47 mpg and not look like a tin can for its hybird. It will sell the crap out of those just like 2010 when you couldn't even buy a hubcap because they were backordered. At least the stock is not on backorder. If ford said you can't buy our stock for the next 2 years and then after 2 years said ok you can buy now. LOL It would double or tripple in a few days.

With the Recession ending sometime soon (hopefully) people that were scrimping and saving during the Recession will have more money to spend on luxuries like new cars. Ford didn't take the government bailout and because of that, still has a good reputation and more credibiltiy than it's direct competitors
