ESB Financial Corp (ESBF)

CAPS Rating:
*

A Pennsylvania corporation and thrift holding company that provides a wide range of retail and commercial financial products and services to customers in Western Pennsylvania through its wholly owned subsidiary bank, ESB Bank.

Rating a stock in CAPS consists of three components:

Your call - Will this stock outperform or underperform the S&P 500? Successful picks are measured in terms of whether or not you were correct and by how many percentage points.

Your time frame - A guideline for other members to see whether your thinking is short or long-term. Time frame is also used to calculate the stock rating, but is not used in the scoring of your pick.

Your pitch - Here's your chance to offer more detailed thoughts, analysis, concerns, or the rationale behind your call. The pitch is optional and may be added later.

Each time you rate a stock, CAPS updates the community intelligence for the company, which may or may not change its CAPS rating. For more information, visit the Help tab at the top of the page.

this stock is moving very fast in an uncertain market. this is a sound stock with a good management. This is a very volatile market with much uncertainty in this sector. the government is far and away into to much handling of banks. government cant run its self much less the banks, autos, and health care. Because of the good management and the sound philosophy of this bank I believe it will do well but the market is the problem.

With the population trends moving further from larger cities during recessive times, people venturing into the rural areas, will increase the banking needs for said areas.

In anticipation of the eventual rebound of the financial sector. A little early for bottom feeding, but I am just indiscriminately putting all stocks that are tagged S&L.
