Year after year Deutsche has proven that they have some of the smartest heads on the street, up there with Goldman. They were smart enough to be on the right side of the entire CDS debacle, like Goldman, and they have one of the smartest trading floors out there, like Goldman. We saw Goldman's CEO ...More

DB is the second most heavily leveraged bank of the world with the most illiquid balance sheet after FBC. For instance it has not succeeded to deleverage during the last quarters, but has taken more debt to its balance sheet. It is the same for its board of directors, currently grossly oversized wit...More

DB is still relatively undervalued (price to book and PE) vs its real peers both internationally and in Europe. While it has commercial real estate issues, they are no more significant than those at places like JPM, MS, GS and Citi. It has a superb trading capability and profitable investment banking operation. Sadly, the bank borders on incompetent in terms of dealing with analysts and investors. Perhaps things will get a bit better now that it has a CFO who speaks intelligible English!

They were smart enough to be on the right side of the entire CDS debacle, like Goldman, and they have one of the smartest trading floors out there, like Goldman. We saw Goldman's CEO speaking last week at a conference, saying the same thing as Mr. Ackermann. So i question, if Goldman stock has managed such a good run up to a PE of 30, shouldn't Deutsche be right behind?
