Beard Company (BRCO.OB)

The Beard Company (Beard) has four operating segments: coal reclamation (Coal), carbon dioxide (CO2), e-Commerce, and oil and gas (Oil & Gas). The Company's coal reclamation business, conducted by Beard Technologies, Inc. (BTI), consist the coal segment. BTI operates coal fines reclamation facilities in the United States. It provides slurry pond core drilling services, fine coal laboratory analytical services and consulting services. The carbon dioxide activities consist of the CO2 segment, consisting of the production of CO2 gas, which is conducted through Beard. The Company owns non-operated working and overriding royalty interests in two producing CO2 gas units in Colorado and New Mexico. Its e-Commerce activities, which are conducted by starpay.com, l.l.c. (starpay) and its parent, Advanced Internet Technologies, L.L.C. (AIT), consists the e-Commerce segment. Beard’s oil and gas activities consists the Oil & Gas segment, consisting of the production of oil and gas.

It recently had a 2:1 stock split to facilitate trading. Since much of the stock is held by insiders, what this translates to is that insiders want to dump the stock, hopefully before the price comes back down again. Basically supporting the idea proposed by TSIF on his pitch. I doubt that this company is the next TCK, its more like GM, a lot of hype but little hope.
