Solid fundamentals, strong insider ownership, superb strategy (very fine inventory management-tailored to market needs), clever pairing up of clothing with brand names.

High valuation relative to its historical norms, lack of margin levers, limited sq footage growth and significant reliance on other manufacturers products will lead to underperformance in '07 for BKE.

Good financials. Debt free. Insider ownership. Dividend and cash payouts.

Nice dividend, never-mind the special dividends they tend to hand out. Long tenured executives, room for growth with only 1 store in the Northeast, 44% insider holdings, and on top of that all it trades for under 12 times P/E.

The risk for this company is that the number of fashion conscious young people who are employed breaks below some critical value. Retailer in general will likely have a hard time being profitable, but if they have a loyal and financially solvent customer base then BKE may still do well. Looking for a lower buy in price, but if this bet gets activated, that price was reached.

I first discovered Buckle in 1999 in my small town. I began shopping there as a friend had been working there and directed me to check out the jean selection. After going and picking out a few pairs of what was the most comfortable and stylish jeans I had ever bought he quickly suggested some new shirts that would go great with the jeans. Shortly after that I had some new shoes I was trying on as well. All said and done I had spent an easy 400.00 in one day without even realizing it. Reason for I wouldnt find out for years to come until I finally was asked to work there after being a huge repeat customer. I realized how they seemlessly drill their employees into great sales and pitchmen. The employees love what they do and find great passion in playing grown up dress up. They are equally as well rewarded for it. After going through the training and seeing just what goes into the Buckle and their leadership training skills, I know understand why they are so successful. The level of management trickles down from the companys top leaders. They strive on building success and in turn make the employees successful as well. They have done a great job so far taking over the eastern market and as they expand I'm sure they will take over much or the remaining markets as well. Their clothing choices are huge hits for everyones age. I had seen daughters dragging mothers in who also purchased jeans. I also believe they were planning on a line for children as well to expand their market. Chances are if you shop there you will pick up something similier for your children as I know I would. How cool dad and son matching? Numbers don't lie. Just look at the growth the company has had in the past years even during the recession. When people are down they want to do two things, drink alcohol and feel good about how they look in a nice pair of jeans, or both at the same time. We cant trade on the local taverns so we might as well pick the supplier of the jeans or the beer. I look to this company to grow substantially over the next few years with more locations popping up everywhere. They will make a foot print with the uniqueness of the clothing and brands they have to offer unlike the other same brand retail stores we are so used to seeing. *cough Aero, Hollister,A&F Cough* Quality is great, sytle is great, sales are up. A+++
