Activision Blizzard, Inc. (ATVI)

CAPS Rating:
*****

The Company is an international publisher of interactive entertainment software and peripheral products.

Rating a stock in CAPS consists of three components:

Your call - Will this stock outperform or underperform the S&P 500? Successful picks are measured in terms of whether or not you were correct and by how many percentage points.

Your time frame - A guideline for other members to see whether your thinking is short or long-term. Time frame is also used to calculate the stock rating, but is not used in the scoring of your pick.

Your pitch - Here's your chance to offer more detailed thoughts, analysis, concerns, or the rationale behind your call. The pitch is optional and may be added later.

Each time you rate a stock, CAPS updates the community intelligence for the company, which may or may not change its CAPS rating. For more information, visit the Help tab at the top of the page.

All the good news about Modern Warfare 2 is already in the price (and despite this thumbs-down, I can't wait to play it), DJ Hero is apparently selling very poorly, and the mngt have been dumping stock again. I can't see what can take this stock higher from here.

Everything they make sells like hot cakes. World of Warcraft, Call of Duty and Guitar Hero to name a couple. They are debt free with tons of cash.

I've never been much of a gamer but I know a good trend when I see one. I played the last Call of Duty and was absolutely stunned by the graphics and game play so its no suprise that the newest version is selling so well.

Game is becoming a bigger and bigger deal. Looking into the quick turn life and high pressure of the modern human beings, I see games getting popular. Not only because you would spend $1.99 on iPhone for a new fun game, but also it's a great education tool. Yes, it is. Just look into Guitar Hero player and see how they practice their fingers like a real guitar player does. My car racer friend play "need for speed" to sharpen his technique. And there are many simulation games that would help people learnig stuff. Game makers are pioneer of this education market.

Beat this Stock

Clicking "Beat this Stock!" will bring you to a company with a higher rating than the one you're currently viewing.

Even though CAPS shows only one- to five-star rankings, behind the scenes, all companies in CAPS have a distinct numerical ranking. In other words, there is a No. 1 stock in CAPS and a worst-ranked stock in CAPS. When you arrive at the top-ranked stock, clicking "Beat this Stock!" will cause the page to refresh.

That is, until there is a new No. 1 stock!
