I work as a Senior Flash Engineer, and have been working with Adobe products for more than 10 years now. I have been following the stock for about 2 years now, and I really feel that Adobe is in the strongest position it's ever been in.

I work as a Senior Flash Engineer, and have been working with Adobe products for more than 10 years now. I have been following the stock for about 2 years now, and I really feel that Adobe is in the strongest position it's ever been in.

I do realize the shares are a little pricey, but I am definitely confident that buying even at these levels would easily beat the S&P. In the real world, I own this stock, and I would add more to my position on any dips.

Here are some of the main reasons why I think they will continue growing, possibly at a much higher pace
- I have worked with dynamically generating PDFs, and when it comes to choosing alternatives, there simply aren't any.
- Their Flex/Flash platform is growing at an unprecedented rate within the industry. It is by far the best solution for high end RIA and Rich media solutions.
- Take this CAPS site as an example. It's done in .NET and as a user, I noticed that it took months to clean up the bugs on this site (from when it was first released), and while it seems pretty stable right now, it would look a lot more smoother and nicer if it was done in Flex, and would have probably taken 50% less development time. More companies are realizing this and are looking towards a Flex based solution.
- By aligning Flex development closely with Java, Adobe has allowed the huge pool of Java Developers to easily get into Flex. This gives them a huge resource pool.
- And finally, with the release of Flash Player 10 (still in beta), they are out to really conquer the desktop. Flash Player has to P2P capabilities. Let me try to put in this perspective; approximately 95% of desktop users (in 'mature markets') will have Flash Player 10 installed by the end of next year (or somewhere around then) thanks to the ability of self-update in Flash Player 9. This means, or at least I think what it means is that you will see a huge push of desktop applications (using P2P) just like we are seeing for 'widgets' on the Web.

Anyway, I realize I might be getting too technical, but basically the potential is huge, and if Adobe management continues to execute it's strategy, I think this stock will continue to grow (>25% for the next few years).

Adobe just announced that over the next year they will be "releasing" and charging for collaboration software that Google has had out for over a year and gives away for free. Why part of that makes good marketing sense?
