As the buying power of the dollar continues on its downward slide, I believe companies like Aaron Rents will continue to see revenue growth.

With the dollar able to buy less and less, renting something is the new way to buy. From housing, to cars, to, in Aaron Rents' case...More

Take a look at the chart on this one. It is in the business of renting out furniture/appliances to folks moving out of their houses into a rental, and the technicals suggest a close above $38 sooner than later....

Has had a pullback to the 200 day mva - sitting right on it here - despite posting a good quarter. Ripe to move up in the coming weeks and months.

Low cast alternative to buying furniture, electronics in a market with high uncertainty.
AAN offers its on financing therefore does not rely on banks and their flicked credit-score/to loan interest rate.

Aaron’s, Inc. is a leading lease-to-own retailer of consumer electronics, computers, furniture, and household appliances. Customers make payments on merch. over a fixed term, at the end of which they attain ownership. At anytime customers can purchase products or cancel lease agreements by returning the merch. Also earns franchise royalties, and manufactures its own furniture

The company’s top- and bottom lines have been thriving in this recessionary environment. First quarter revenues were up 15% year over year, driven by a 12% same store sale increase. These strong results prompted the company to raise the midpoint of its 2009 earnings per share-net target range by 10% to $1.98, reflecting 25% growth over last year’s tally.

Aaron’s is one of the few businesses that benefits from a downturn in the business cycle. Tight credit conditions and concerns over employment should continue to drive store traffic in the coming months. Indeed, we think that more consumers will opt to lease merchandise from Aaron’s instead of purchasing it elsewhere due to the smaller upfront
cost, and the option to cancel the lease at anytime. Although an eventual rebound in
the economy will probably lead to slowing revenue growth, this is likely far off.
